Les Deux Alpes resort ski lift system

Les Deux Alpes has an extensive lift system.

The extensive ski area of Les Deux Alpes is in itself enough to keep even the keenest skier, snowboarder or telemarker content for long periods. The more adventurous can try the high altitude hike over from the glacier to the ski resort of La Grave. This is a wild, steep and mostly unmarked area with glaciated terrain and it is recommended to only attempt in the company of a fully qualified mountain guide.

Nearby resorts such as Alpe d’huez are covered by the lift pass for one day and are well worth the trip. A qualified ski instructor, snowboard teacher or mountain guide will let you make the most of this extensive region.

Les Deux Alpes, France

Developed in the 1950’s as a skiing resort Les Deux Alpes has grown into a major French alpine winter sports centre. Les Deux Alpes spreads along a high valley plateau with the lift system extending mostly up on one side. The modern purpose built town of Les Deux Alpes sits on the sunny shelf above the hamlet of Venosc. This small farming community contrasts with the new resort of Les Deux Alpes above it and its cobbled streets and old buildings are linked by cable car to the ski and snowboard station of Les Deux Alpes above.

With plenty of restaurants and an abundance of bars, Les 2 Alpes attracts families for the convenient and reliable skiing and snowboarding and younger people for the more adventurous side of the mountain and the famous nightlife.
